Ms. Loftin has specialized in public finance law since 1998 serving as borrower’s counsel, bond counsel, credit enhancer’s counsel and underwriter’s counsel.  Ms. Loftin represents financial institutions, lenders, nonprofit entities, utility companies and governmental entities in leveraged finance and municipal securities transactions and other secured and unsecured lending transactions, with a focus on municipal securities.  She represents clients throughout the country that access the municipal market to finance healthcare, educational, solid waste and other qualifying facilities.

Ms. Loftin has extensive experience in the financing by utility companies of pollution control and sewage and solid waste disposal facilities, and the financing by governmental and nonprofit corporations of healthcare and educational facilities.  She has particular experience in representing numerous industrial, commercial and multifamily real estate developers in the negotiation of incentives relating to job-creating economic development projects.

Ms. Loftin is a member of the State Bar of Georgia. She is also a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers and a member of the American College of Bond Counsel.

Ms. Loftin graduated cum laude from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor’s Degree.  She received her J.D. cum laude from the University of Georgia.  In law school, Ms. Loftin was a member of the Law Review.
