ROGER E. MURRAY

Mr. Murray has specialized in public finance since 1989. He represents counties, cities, school districts, authorities, non‑profit corporations, private companies and investment banks in a variety of public finance matters as bond counsel and underwriter’s counsel.
Mr. Murray has extensive experience in healthcare finance and implementing and leveraging the special 1% local option sales tax for counties, cities and schools. He was integrally involved in the development of lease-purchase programs for Association County Commissioners of Georgia, Georgia Municipal Association and Georgia Schools Boards Association and possesses unique insight into transactions utilizing those institutions.
Mr. Murray is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers and the State Bar of Georgia. He frequently speaks at seminars and has written several articles that have been published in Georgia County Government.
Mr. Murray previously served on the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia, the Board of Directors of The Henry W. Grady Foundation and was the Chairman of the Board of Special Olympics Georgia. He was in the Leadership Georgia class of 2002 and was on the Dean’s Advisory Council for the University of Toledo’s law school.
Mr. Murray earned a B.B.A. in Accounting and Business Management from Kent State University, and he earned a J.D./M.B.A. from the University of Toledo Law School. He was a member of Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif.
